Role Outline (JOB6764)
We are looking for a Scrum Master to join our team and support the delivery of platform improvements, technical enhancements, and product releases across our innovative health tech systems. In this role, you’ll facilitate effective ways of working, foster collaboration, remove blockers, and maintain visibility of team progress in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
The Scrum Master will play a critical role in enabling teams to deliver high-quality outcomes while supporting compliance with healthcare regulations and clinical governance standards.

What You'll Be Doing
Team Facilitation
- Facilitate key team ceremonies, including stand-ups, planning sessions, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with Product and Technical Leads to ensure work is prioritised, well-defined, and delivery-ready.
- Maintain delivery boards and provide visibility of progress, milestones, risks, and outcomes.
- Identify and resolve blockers to keep teams focused on agreed priorities.
- Foster collaboration, communication, and ownership within the team.
- Coordinate release-readiness activities across Engineering, QA, Product, and Operations.
- Build a resilient team culture that thrives amidst changing priorities and challenges.

Continuous Improvement
- Support the team in adopting effective delivery practices and ways of working.
- Facilitate retrospectives and implement improvements to team effectiveness and collaboration.
- Share learning, successful approaches, and good practices across teams.
Stakeholder Communication
- Provide regular updates on progress, risks, blockers, and upcoming work.
- Facilitate collaboration between Product, Technology, and Business stakeholders.
- Coordinate activities and dependencies across teams when required.
Governance and Compliance
- Ensure delivery processes and releases align with standards such as UK GDPR, ISO 27001, NHS DSPT, and internal audit requirements.
- Work with clinical and governance leads to ensure safe, compliant, and auditable releases.
- Provide evidence and documentation to support internal and external audits.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar delivery-focused role.
- Strong communication, facilitation, planning, and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to build positive relationships with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Experience coordinating activities within a software, technology, or delivery team.
- Skilled at identifying and resolving blockers, risks, and delivery challenges.
- Good understanding of software delivery and the software development lifecycle.
- Experience facilitating refinement, estimation, planning, and delivery activities.
- Proven ability to work effectively with remote and distributed teams.
- Practical knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid delivery approaches.
- Proactive, collaborative, and adaptable mindset with the resilience to manage competing priorities and change.
- Strong servant leader mindset, with the ability to support, coach, and guide teams.
- Experience working in regulated environments or with compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, ISO 9001, NHS DSPT).

Bonus
- Experience working in health tech, clinical systems, or NHS-integrated services.
- Familiarity with delivery management tools such as Azure DevOps (Boards), Jira, or equivalent.
Hours
This role is full time (37.5 hours per week), Monday to Friday.
Location
Whilst our team operates remotely, we maintain a cohesive and friendly work environment through constant use of Teams chat and video meetings. This way of working is crucial for sustaining our open culture and warm dynamics of our team and require this role to be a part of that.
