🚨 Scrum Master /.NET Developer – 12-Month Contract Outside IR35 🚨
📍 Location: Remote (Must be based in the UK)
💰 Rate: £400pd
📝 Contract: 12 months (Outside IR35)
Impactive IT is recruiting for a hybrid Scrum Master /.NET Developer to support an organisation going through a significant change in how its development teams operate. The majority of this role will be focused on Scrum Master responsibilities, overseeing two development teams initially, potentially increasing to three.
They need someone who can bring structure, visibility and discipline to the teams. That includes making sure work is properly captured, developers are keeping tasks updated and the business has a clear understanding of capacity, progress and potential delivery issues.
This isn’t a role for someone who simply runs the ceremonies and updates a board. They want a genuine go-getter someone who gets out into the business, speaks to people, asks questions and takes the initiative rather than waiting to be told what needs doing. This will be a Scrum Master first, Developer second position.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives across two or potentially three teams
- Improving delivery discipline, work-item updates and visibility of team capacity
- Identifying blockers, risks and dependencies before they begin affecting delivery
- Working with Product Owners and stakeholders to create, structure and prioritise backlogs
- Setting up separate team or workstream backlogs as the organisation moves towards smaller, focused teams
- Supporting the migration or reconfiguration of delivery processes across Azure DevOps and Jira
- Helping the business transition towards a Product Operating Model
- Advising how products, workstreams and team responsibilities should be structured as the model develops
- Contributing to hands-on.NET / ASP.NET development when required
- Supporting code reviews, deployment pipelines and wider engineering best practices

The experience we’re looking for:
- Strong experience as a Scrum Master within technical development teams
- Experience overseeing multiple teams simultaneously
- Hands-on .NET / ASP.NET development experience
- Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps and/or Jira
- Experience creating, restructuring and managing technical backlogs
- The confidence to challenge teams and improve accountability
- Excellent organisation, communication and stakeholder-management skills
- A proactive, inquisitive and self-motivated approach

Experience working within a #ProductOperatingModel would be highly beneficial, particularly within a larger enterprise environment.
AI experience would also be useful. They aren’t necessarily looking for a dedicated AI Engineer, but someone familiar with Microsoft/Azure AI Foundry who has experimented with or built AI-powered applications would be a strong fit. Experience acting as a Scrum Master for an AI-focused development team would also be beneficial.
