Scrum Master

£400-£420 per day (Inside IR35)

6-month initial contract

Reading - office-based preferred, will consider hybrid (3-5 days per week onsite)

We're supporting a leading organisation in Reading with their search for an experienced Scrum Master to join a high-performing Agile delivery team. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Scrum Master with a strong background in Agile delivery, coaching and stakeholder management to play a key role in enabling teams to deliver high-quality software and cloud-based solutions.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Facilitating all core Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives
  • Coaching teams on Agile and Scrum best practices
  • Supporting Product Owners with backlog refinement and prioritisation
  • Removing delivery impediments and managing dependencies
  • Driving team performance, continuous improvement and delivery excellence
  • Monitoring sprint health, velocity, burndown and release forecasts
  • Working closely with Developers, Architects, QA Engineers and business stakeholders
  • Championing Agile adoption and organisational transformation initiatives
  • Ensuring teams remain aligned with business objectives and delivery commitments

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years' experience working as a Scrum Master
  • 8-12 years of overall professional experience
  • Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban and Agile delivery methodologies
  • Experience delivering software products and cloud-based solutions
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence and Miro
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven experience managing risks, dependencies and delivery challenges
  • Experience working within DevOps and CI/CD environments

Desirable

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II)
  • SAFe certification
  • Knowledge of PMP or PRINCE2 methodologies
  • Energy or utilities sector experience
