Role: Scrum Master & PMO Lead
Location: Birmingham or London (Hybrid/Flexible)
Salary: £65,000 - £75,000
Type: Full-time, Permanent
About the Opportunity:
We're partnering with a large, nationally recognised professional services organisation that is investing significantly in AI, automation and digital transformation. As part of this growth, we're seeking an experienced Scrum Master & PMO Lead to help drive delivery excellence across a portfolio of innovative technology and change initiatives.
This is a highly visible role that combines Agile leadership, delivery management, and portfolio governance. You'll work with technical specialists, product owners, business stakeholders and leadership teams to ensure strategic priorities are translated into well-governed, actionable delivery plans that achieve measurable outcomes.

The Role:
As Scrum Master & PMO Lead, you'll be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective Agile delivery practices while providing governance and oversight across multiple programmes and workstreams.

You'll play a key role in ensuring teams remain focused on delivering value, risks are managed proactively, dependencies are understood, and leadership has clear visibility of progress and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Agile Delivery Leadership
- Facilitate Agile delivery across multiple teams and workstreams
- Lead Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives
- Coach teams and stakeholders on Agile principles and best practice
- Remove impediments and help teams maintain delivery momentum
- Support Product Owners with prioritisation and backlog management
- Track and analyse Agile delivery metrics to drive continuous improvement
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and transparency
PMO & Portfolio Governance
- Own and enhance portfolio governance processes and standards
- Maintain roadmaps, milestones and delivery plans across the portfolio
- Manage RAID logs, delivery risks, issues and dependencies
- Coordinate planning and prioritisation activities across initiatives
- Monitor portfolio health, resource utilisation and delivery performance
- Produce executive-level reporting and actionable insights for senior leadership
- Ensure decisions, actions and outcomes are tracked through to completion

What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master, PMO Lead, or similar delivery leadership role
- Experience managing delivery across multiple teams, programmes or portfolios
- Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks including Scrum and Kanban
- Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and driving continuous improvement
- Solid understanding of portfolio governance, RAID management and dependency tracking
- Experience producing high-quality reporting for senior stakeholders and executives
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Ability to bring structure, clarity and discipline to fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication, facilitation and organisational skills
Desirable Experience:
- Professional services, consulting or advisory sector experience
- Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
- AgilePM, PRINCE2 Practitioner or PMO-related certification
- Experience scaling Agile delivery across multiple teams
- Experience establishing or maturing PMO and governance functions
- Exposure to AI, automation, digital transformation or emerging technology initiatives
