Scrum Master

Location: Telford, UK (Hybrid – 2 Days per Week Onsite)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Scrum Master to support Agile delivery teams in driving successful project outcomes. The ideal candidate will facilitate Scrum ceremonies, remove impediments, promote Agile best practices, and ensure effective collaboration between business and technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Coach and mentor teams on Agile principles, Scrum framework, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Remove impediments and help teams maintain delivery momentum.
  • Work closely with Product Owners to manage and refine product backlogs.
  • Track sprint progress, team velocity, and delivery metrics.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Promote Agile best practices across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Support release planning and roadmap execution.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team productivity and delivery quality.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience working as a Scrum Master in Agile environments.
  • Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, and Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies for cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to remove blockers and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and coaching skills.
  • Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PSM, SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent certification.
  • Experience working within large-scale enterprise transformation programmes.
  • Previous experience in Public Sector, Financial Services, Banking, or Insurance domains.
