Job Description

To maximize the value delivered by the delivery team(s) to which they are assigned by prioritizing the outstanding work and overseeing the tasks to ensure they meet the expectations of the product stakeholders. To clearly understand the fundamental benefits the product provides and where it fits in the overall company vision. Identify areas for product improvement and measure outcomes using appropriate metrics.

Job Responsibility

  • Strategic thinking ensuring the product vision is aligned to the company vision.
  • Define the product roadmap to successfully implement the product vision.
  • Regularly inspect the product to ensure that the product strategy is still relevant.
  • Effectively communicate the product strategy to the business stakeholders.
  • Facilitate meetings with business stakeholders to clarify priorities and requirements.
  • Be the primary business representative and product expert for the delivery team.
  • Provide guidance to the delivery team on why the team is delivering product backlog items.
  • Create/maintain product backlog items as required and be accountable for the backlog prioritization.
  • Attend delivery team ceremonies including daily meetings, retrospectives, and increment reviews.
  • Regularly inspect product backlog and roadmap, update estimates, and anticipated delivery dates.
  • Use Evidence-Based Management to ensure appropriate measurement of value derived from incremental product delivery.
  • Be respectful of all disciplines and promote a unified team atmosphere.

Required knowledge:

  • Understanding of the software development life cycle.
  • Understanding of metrics measurement and use of these to inform prioritization decisions.
  • Proven experience working with Agile framework.
  • Proven experience in Product Management in a dynamic IT/eCommerce environment.

Required skills:

  • PSPO 1 or equivalent qualification is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and able to present information to a diverse audience.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to seamlessly switch context.
  • Experience with Agile metrics and collaboration tools such as Jira, Mural, or similar.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Fluent knowledge of spoken and written English.
  • Additional language ability with Dutch/German/French is desirable.
