Full Stack Developer Intern — BuD

6 October 2026 · Thiskrit Ltd

About Thiskrit

Thiskrit Ltd is a UK-based technology company building products designed to create more meaningful and intentional digital experiences.

Our current products include Thiskrit, a privacy-first private media platform, and BuD, a venue-based social app designed to help people start conversations face to face.

BuD is being developed and operated under Thiskrit Ltd. As a BuD intern, your internship, engagement and legal relationship will be with Thiskrit Ltd, while your day-to-day product work will focus on BuD.

About BuD

BuD is a startup with a team in Essen, Germany and Oxford, UK. It is a venue-based social app that gets people talking face to face: check in at a venue, see what others there are posting, send a wink, then walk over. There is no in-app chat, no swipe deck and no profile browsing, on purpose. BuD is in its testing phase right now, and we want one more builder to help take it from testing to launch.

The Role

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer Intern who is comfortable working across both the front end and back end.

You will join a small founding team and work directly on BuD. Your work will go straight into the product, so you will have real ownership over features, fixes and improvements.

Duration: 3 or 6 months Hours: 25 hours per week Location: Remote Stipend: INR 5,000 per month Legal entity: Thiskrit Ltd (UK) Product: BuD

What You'll Do

You will work across the full product stack, including:

  • Build features end to end, from database and APIs through to the user interface
  • Develop and improve the core BuD experience:
    • Venue check-in
    • Shared venue feed
    • Winks
    • Match/connection screen
  • Turn product designs into responsive, polished screens
  • Build and maintain APIs and data models
  • Work with authentication and user accounts
  • Debug issues identified during testing
  • Improve performance, reliability and user experience
  • Test your work across different devices and screen sizes
  • Keep short technical notes explaining what you changed and why
  • Work closely with the founding team to turn product ideas into working features

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Our Stack

BuD uses a shared web codebase inside thin native iOS and Android shells, connected to a serverless backend.

Frontend

  • React 19
  • TypeScript
  • Vite
  • Tailwind CSS

The same React codebase is shared across the iOS and Android applications.

Backend & Database

  • Supabase
  • PostgreSQL
  • Edge Functions
  • Deno
  • Hono
  • Twilio Verify for SMS authentication

Native

  • Swift / SwiftUI — iOS
  • Kotlin — Android

You will primarily work with the React/TypeScript and backend stack, but exposure to the native shells is useful.

What We're Looking For

Must Have

  • Final-year student or recent graduate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field
  • Comfortable working across both frontend and backend
  • At least one full-stack project you can clearly explain
  • Working knowledge of:
    • React
    • TypeScript
    • REST APIs
    • SQL databases
    • Git
  • Able to commit 25 hours per week for the full internship
  • Good written English
  • Comfortable working independently in a small team
  • Willing to ask questions early rather than getting stuck silently
  • Strong interest in learning by building and shipping real software

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

  • Supabase
  • PostgreSQL
  • Deno
  • Hono
  • Twilio
  • Swift / SwiftUI
  • Kotlin / Android
  • Vite
  • Tailwind CSS
  • Mobile or social products
  • UI/UX implementation
  • Testing and debugging production applications

You do not need to know every technology in our stack. Strong fundamentals and the ability to learn quickly matter more than knowing a particular framework.

What You'll Get

  • Fully remote work with flexible working arrangements
  • Direct experience working with a small founding team
  • Ownership of features that go into a real product
  • Experience working across frontend, backend and mobile deployment
  • Exposure to product development from testing through to launch
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Internship completion certificate
  • The opportunity to build software used by real users

Most importantly, this is not an internship where you will spend three months working on isolated tutorial projects.

The things you build can ship.

How to Apply

Send your CV and one project link GitHub, live app or portfolio.

BuD Intern

Please also include three short lines explaining:

  1. What you built
  2. What part you personally worked on
  3. What you would improve if you had another month to work on it

We are more interested in understanding how you think and build than seeing a long list of technologies on your CV.
