Description
We're looking for a Senior Software Developer in Test – Java & Azure to join our team in London, UK in a [working mode] working mode. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing test automation frameworks and strategies for data-driven solutions, APIs, and cloud-native platforms. Leveraging your skills in Java, TDD/BDD, and CI/CD practices, you will ensure the quality, scalability, and accuracy of complex systems running on Azure Cloud and Databricks infrastructures. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality-focused automation professional to make a significant impact on data pipelines and end-to-end (F2B) testing.

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and reusable test utilities for end-to-end testing
- Create and execute test cases for RESTful API validation, ensuring functionality, performance, and reliability
- Validate large-scale data pipelines built on Databricks for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with business rules
- Implement and enforce TDD/BDD practices throughout the development lifecycle
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and DevOps teams to ensure quality gates in CI/CD pipelines (GitLab)
- Enable cloud-native automated testing approaches aligned with Azure-based architectures
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize automated test scripts for performance and maintainability
Requirements (Must Have Skills)
- Strong proficiency in Java programming with focused experience in test automation
- Practical exposure to TDD/BDD methodologies and related frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Cucumber)
- Knowledge of REST API testing and designing robust test cases for API validation
- Understanding of front-to-back (F2B) testing concepts for enterprise-grade platforms
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and integration into testing workflows
- Strong communication and analytical skills with attention to detail

Nice to Have Skills
- Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud services and Databricks for data engineering workloads
- Experience validating data pipelines at scale with performance and security considerations
- Familiarity with observability tools and automated quality reporting in CI/CD environments
- Knowledge of performance testing and monitoring for distributed API-driven architecture
