Sea Logistics Sales Representative

The Sea Logistics Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business opportunities with a clear focus on SME customers. They have a thorough, up-to-date and in-depth understanding of the trade-lane(s) in terms of the geography of the trade, and the service offerings, such as sailings, transit times, reliability, specific country documentation regulations, local standards, operational requirements, as well as the type of industry/goods/commodity traded on the particular routes.

How you create impact

  • Generating new business opportunities with a clear focus on SMEs.
  • Taking pricing decisions in alignment with the Customer Care Managers.
  • Preparing quotations using our online tools and submitting our proposals to customers.
  • Demonstrating superior Sea Logistics product and trade knowledge.
  • Delivering presentations about our main Sea Logistics products.
  • Monitoring competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing and products.
  • Reporting customer complaints to the Customer Care Team.
  • Aligning with the Customer Care Team when onboarding new customers and providing robust and complete content in the Customer Promise/CCL handover form.
  • Using CoreLOG to maintain and update customer information.
  • Performing the related CRM tasks/activities. Regularly reviewing the customers’ portfolio with the CCL managers and Customer Care Team.
  • Closing customer deals.

What we would like you to bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Experience in Sea Logistics sales, freight forwarding, customer acquisition, and business development.
  • Knowledge of ocean freight products, logistics solutions, and supply chain processes.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with the ability to build and maintain long-term business relationships.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and CRM systems.
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel when required.
