Seal Technician - Service and Installation

Filta Group LTD

Central Scotland area

£30,000 DOE plus overtime & bonus scheme

45 hours per week (some split shift/rota availability required)

Filta’s services are being recognised for their money saving qualities at the forefront by the food and hospitality industry.

Like all business owners striving for a profit, we appreciate that our customers can’t afford to have their kitchens out of action and therefore all of our services have been developed to ensure downtime is avoided at all costs. We therefore operate quick turnaround installations within a fast paced and dynamic environment.

The Filta Group Ltd are now seeking seal Technicians to be agile / mobile employees provide services within a number of locations as listed below.

What does it entail?

  • Responsible for measuring, making and fitting seals around commercial fridges and freezers within a variety of environments/sectors
  • Ongoing use of hand-held deployment devices and ensuring job logging software is up to date (by use of various portals)
  • Maintain schedule and self-motivation to work alone for long periods of time with regular check ins back to headquarters / service desk
  • Excellent customer service skills and focus with the ability to communicate with a diverse customer base
  • Flexible approach to working pattern with occasional overnight stays with advance notice covering the Scotland area

What are we looking for?

  • Experience within commercial refrigeration is desired but not essential
  • Must have engineering or similar experience working on site and with customers
  • Must be willing to travel around the central Scotland area
  • Customer service skills and professional approach
  • Experience of agile working
  • Have a positive, flexible, can-do attitude
  • Be willing to work some unsociable hours
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience to use measuring equipment, and the attention to detail to utilise properly
  • Problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills
