SEO Consultant
Location: Middleton (3-4 days in the office)
Salary: Up to £60k DOE
We’re looking for an experienced SEO Consultant to join a growing team on a permanent basis and take ownership of organic search performance, helping drive more traffic, more enquiries, and ultimately more revenue from the website.
The role
This position is ideal for someone who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. You’ll be responsible for identifying opportunities to improve search visibility, strengthening the site’s organic performance, and working closely with internal teams to turn SEO insight into commercial results. SEO consultant roles typically cover keyword research, on-page optimisation, technical SEO, content strategy, link building, and performance reporting.

Key responsibilities
- Lead SEO strategy and own the roadmap for organic growth.
- Carry out full website audits to identify technical, content, and structural opportunities.
- Research keywords and search intent to shape page targeting and content priorities.
- Optimise existing pages, landing pages, and site structure to improve rankings and conversions.
- Work with content, development, and marketing teams to implement SEO recommendations.
- Monitor performance across rankings, traffic, engagement, and conversions.
- Produce clear reports and present insight, recommendations, and progress to stakeholders.
- Stay on top of algorithm updates, competitor activity, and emerging SEO trends.

What we’re looking for
- Proven experience in SEO, ideally in a standalone, in-house, or agency role.
- Strong technical SEO understanding, including site audits, indexing, crawlability, and site architecture.
- Confident keyword research and content optimisation skills.
- Experience improving organic performance in a commercially focused environment.
- Strong analytical ability, with confidence using SEO and analytics platforms.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence across teams.
- A proactive, commercially minded approach with a focus on results.
