SEO MANAGER – BIRMINGHAM (HYBRID)

About the Client
We’re working with a growing digital marketing agency looking to add an experienced SEO Manager to their team. This is a varied position offering a combination of agency and in-house style SEO, giving you the opportunity to manage client campaigns while also taking ownership of the agency’s own organic growth strategy.
They’re looking for someone commercially minded and proactive who can work independently, make strategic recommendations, and stay ahead of how search is evolving across Google, AI Search, and LLM-driven results.

The SEO Manager Role
As SEO Manager, you’ll take ownership of organic search strategy across both the agency’s own website and a portfolio of client accounts.
You’ll be responsible for identifying opportunities to improve organic visibility, traffic, leads, and conversions through technical SEO, content optimisation, keyword research, and performance analysis. You’ll also work closely with content, paid media, social, design, and development teams to ensure SEO is considered across wider marketing activity.
Alongside client campaigns, you’ll have the freedom to test new approaches internally, including opportunities around AI Search and LLM optimisation.
SEO Manager Essential Skills
- 3+ years’ hands-on SEO experience, ideally agency-side
- Proven experience developing and implementing successful SEO strategies
- Strong technical SEO knowledge including crawlability, indexing, redirects, and site architecture
- Experience with keyword research, content optimisation, and on-page SEO
- Confident analysing performance and turning data into actionable recommendations
- Experience working directly with clients and presenting SEO performance
- Strong knowledge of GA4, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, and Screaming Frog
- Experience with tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Majestic
- Strong communication and organisation skills
- Understanding of HTML would be advantageous
- Knowledge of LLM SEO / AI Search would be beneficial
