SEO Lead / Senior SEO Manager

Ecommerce / Retail business

Location: London (2 days a week)

We're working with one of the UK's most recognised retail brands to find an experienced SEO Lead to own organic search strategy across a portfolio of high-traffic ecommerce websites.

This is a senior role sitting between the internal team and their external SEO agency - ideal for someone who's as comfortable presenting to senior leadership as they are digging into a technical audit.

The Role

You'll own the SEO strategy across four retail websites, embedding best practice into digital projects and marketing initiatives.

  • Developing and executing organic growth plans aligned to commercial objectives
  • Managing the relationship with the external SEO agency, holding them to agreed KPIs
  • Overseeing technical SEO - crawlability, indexing, Core Web Vitals, site architecture, structured data, migrations
  • Driving on-page optimisation across category, product and content pages
  • Partnering with content teams on SEO-led content strategy
  • Working with development teams to ensure SEO best practice is built into releases
  • Tracking competitor activity, algorithm updates and keyword opportunities
  • Reporting performance and recommendations to senior stakeholders

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
