Company Description

Piglets Adventure Farm is a children’s adventure farm offering fun-filled, family-friendly experiences throughout the year. The farm focuses on creating safe, engaging activities for children ages 0–11, with a variety of themed seasonal events. Visitors can enjoy interactive play areas, outdoor attractions, and special performances designed to entertain and inspire young guests. Team members contribute to a welcoming environment where families can relax, explore, and make lasting memories together.

Role Description

The Seasonal Actor role at Piglets Adventure Farm is a contract, on-site position based in York. In this role, the actor performs in seasonal shows and interactive experiences, engaging with children and families through character work, storytelling, and improvisation.

  • Learning scripts and event narratives
  • Participating in rehearsals
  • Staying in character during guest interactions
  • Supporting crowd management in performance areas
  • Assisting with event setup and breakdown related to performances
  • Following all safety and child-focused guidelines
  • Collaborating closely with other performers and farm staff to deliver consistent, high-quality experiences

Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal periods is required.

Qualifications

  • Strong performance-related skills, including acting, improvisation, and character portrayal suitable for family and children’s entertainment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage positively with children, caregivers, and colleagues.
  • Reliability and professionalism, including punctuality, adherence to schedules, and the ability to follow scripts and direction.
  • Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions and moving between different farm locations throughout the day.
  • Experience in theatre, live events, theme parks, or similar environments is beneficial.
  • Ability to maintain a friendly, inclusive, and respectful atmosphere for guests of all backgrounds.
  • Willingness to undergo any required background checks and training related to child safety and farm operations.
