Retail Stylist - John Lewis

Southampton

Part-Time Seasonal Opportunities Available

£13.57 per hour paid weekly


Bridgestaff Group are looking for passionate, customer-focused Retail Stylists to join a leading premium beauty and technology brand in Southampton.


This is an exciting seasonal opportunity starting immediately and running through to and including the Christmas period. If you have a background in beauty, haircare, retail sales, or customer service and love helping customers look and feel their best, we'd love to hear from you.

Please note: Successful candidates must be available to work Christmas Eve and Boxing Day.


Start: Inductions take place mid September and start

Location: John Lewis, Southampton

Shift Pattern: 18 hours per week; 3 days

  • Friday: 10am to 4.30pm
  • Saturday: 10am to 5pm
  • Sunday: 10.30am to 4.30pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging styling and product demonstrations for customers in-store.
  • Provide an authentic, premium customer experience that inspires confidence and trust.
  • Understand individual customer needs and recommend the most suitable products and solutions.
  • Drive sales performance and achieve agreed targets and KPIs.
  • Support and participate in in-store events and promotional activities.
  • Build strong relationships with store colleagues and key stakeholders.
  • Promote product knowledge and educate customers on features and benefits.
  • Act as a passionate ambassador for a leading beauty and technology brand.

About You

  • Previous retail experience is essential, ideally within beauty, haircare, cosmetics, or a customer-facing environment.
  • Passionate about beauty, styling, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Confident demonstrating products and engaging with customers.
  • Sales-focused with the ability to work towards and achieve targets.
  • Ambitious, self-motivated, and driven to deliver strong personal performance.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable providing product advice and educating customers.
  • Able to coach and share knowledge with colleagues and store teams.
  • Available throughout the seasonal period, including Christmas Eve and Boxing Day.
