Description
Diversity matters
We are building a brand that represents the people of the world. It’s what you do that counts, and we are always looking to expand perspectives and voices to shape our future.
We see you, we celebrate you, we want you!
Who We Are
Lush Guildford is known for its five-star customer service. We've even won an award for it! Our priority is making sure every visitor has an experience curated perfectly to their needs. With such varied customers, we might be offering a pampering hand & arm massage one minute, then playing who-can-blow-the-biggest-bubble the next! We're a party hotspot, with multiple celebrations held every week, and we're proud of our close links with the local community. As a training shop, we host new managers to showcase Lush customer service in action.
You might know Lush as the inventors of the bath bomb, but there’s more to this great-smelling, partly employee-owned, family-run company than pioneering cosmetics. We believe our business should put more back into the world than it takes and demonstrate that capitalism can be a force for good.
The Living Wage Foundation’s statement 'a hard day's work deserves a fair day's pay' is one that we are proud to commit to in the UK. As an accredited Living Wage employer, we put our people first and fight cruel practices like animal testing.
The Role
Our sales team are the heart and soul of Lush Guildford and our seasonal sales assistants provide vital support during the bustling festive period. Every decision you make will contribute towards our visitors having a very merry Christmas shopping experience. As a seasonal sales assistant, you'll be on the shop floor: helping customers, demonstrating our products, keeping our shop looking beautiful, and contributing to the fun festive atmosphere. You'll also be confident driving sales forwards and working towards business targets. In your role as party host, you'll bring energy and excitement to every event, creating the perfect evening for our party guests.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
