Description
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team for the busy festive season. Our ideal candidate would have experience in retail sales or similar skills in a customer-facing role, with flexibility to work both during the week and at the weekends. We would ideally be looking for individuals with at least one weekend day availability and at least 2 days during the week.

The role
In this role, you’ll be the face of the store, welcoming customers and providing a fun, engaging shopping experience. You’ll use your product knowledge to offer personalised recommendations, perform product demonstrations, and hand out tailored samples. Working closely with your team, you’ll help drive sales, exceed targets, and create memorable in-store events that keep customers coming back. You'll also manage stock, ensure the shop floor looks its best, and adapt displays to seasonal trends. With flexible shifts, a competitive hourly rate based on the Living Wage, and opportunities for bonuses, you’ll be well-supported through training and development to grow your skills.

THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS:

Next stage: In person group interview
What to expect: The group interviews will take place in our party and events room either during quiet open hours. During the interview, there will be a number of activities based around getting to know you a little more and getting hands on with product demonstrations. More information will be provided in interview invites, but the activities will include pampering demonstrations such as cleansing and applying face masks on faces (other attendees or staff). Don't worry if you haven't done it before, we will give you the info you need. You will be more than welcome to receive a pampering treatment as part of the activity though receiving a treatment won't be essential.
Final stage: shop floor trial
What to expect: The shop floor trials last around 1-1.5 hours. We invite you to join us as a member of staff on shop floor and put into practise product demonstrations you picked up during your interview as well as others we will show you on the day. As Christmas is our busiest time of year, we're looking for team mates who are happy to hit the ground running, get stuck in on the shop floor and have fun with our products and our customers.
ACCESSIBILITY:
Lush Chichester has a step from the street directly onto the shop floor, for step free access we have a ramp to use. - Become a pro on our products, helping customers make perfect choices, and sharing your great knowledge on what makes each product right for them.
- Team up with your colleagues to hit store goals, keep the shop floor fun, and deliver top-notch service together.
- Becoming an excellent party host, making sure our customers have an extra special big day. You'll make this fun whilst creating an inclusive environment. This will include hosting birthday parties, special events and seasonal kids workshops.
- Help keep our inventory in check by restocking shelves, making sure everything is in its place, and ensuring our products are always ready for their close-up.
- Keep our store sparkling clean and inviting, creating a space that adds to our customers' shopping joy.
- Handle transactions with a smile, and make sure every purchase is the perfect way to end a shopping experience.
- Be the go-to for customer questions, resolve issues, and make sure our customers are genuinely cared for.
- Dive into training sessions with excitement, soaking up knowledge to grow both personally and professionally.
