Overview
Element Materials Technology is seeking Seasonal Associate Test Technicians to support its growing Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) testing team.
Based in a state-of-the-art laboratory in Surrey Hills, Guilford, this role involves conducting RF exposure and compliance testing on consumer electronic devices to ensure they meet industry safety and regulatory standards. The position offers hands-on experience with advanced testing equipment and emerging technologies, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in building a career in electrical engineering, RF testing, or product compliance. Technicians will contribute to the certification process by performing test procedures, collecting and analyzing data, and helping manufacturers bring safe, compliant products to market.

Please note:
- This is an initial 6 month contract
- The lab operates in a shift pattern including nights
Responsibilities
- Performs and analyzes SAR/RF and RF exposure compliance testing and evaluations per regulatory specifications
- Compiling and reporting test results using MS Word and MS Excel
- Evaluate devices and determine applicable standards
- Collaborate in a team environment and assist in development and improvement of test methodologies, reporting, coordination of various tasks, etc.
- Maintain laboratory test methods and test equipment
Skills / Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor in Engineering or STEM, Technical School Certificate, or equivalent with experience
- Must have excellent organizational skills, fast learner, team player, and detail oriented
- Strong attention to detail and computer literate
- Ability to work effectively in team situations as well as independently
- Must have the initiative and eagerness to learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, hear, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to get to our Surrey Hills remote location (own transport will be needed)
