Role Summary

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Seating Attribute Test & Validation Engineer to join our dynamic and collaborative automotive engineering team. The engineer will be responsible for seating attribute test asset setup, test case development, feature validation, test execution, diagnostics, result reporting, and issue debugging to ensure successful delivery and sign-off of seating functionalities across vehicle programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and execute seating attribute-level test cases.
  • Support verification and validation activities for seating features throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Define and implement feature test plans ensuring full coverage of seating feature requirements.
  • Support seating feature sign-off activities across vehicle programs.
  • Perform system integration testing and validation activities.
  • Analyze test results and prepare validation reports.
  • Diagnose, investigate, and debug functional and integration issues.
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional technical reviews related to testing and integration status.
  • Track defects, monitor resolution status, and support root cause analysis activities.
  • Collaborate with Seating Systems, Program Management, Rig Teams, and System Integration teams.
  • Support verification methods and validation strategies based on attribute requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to defined automotive testing and validation processes.

Must-Have Skills

  • Automotive Attribute Testing and Validation experience.
  • Experience in authoring automotive test cases and validation procedures.
  • Hands-on experience with Requirement and Test Management tools such as:
    • TRM
    • XRAY
    • Equivalent test management platforms
  • Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
  • Experience in issue investigation and root cause analysis.
  • Ability to analyze technical problems and provide practical solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and customer-focused approach.

  • Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with automotive communication protocols:
    • CAN
    • LIN
    • Ethernet
    • UDS
    • XCP
  • Experience with automotive logging and analysis tools:
    • CANalyzer
    • CANoe
  • Understanding of Systems Engineering V-Model.
  • Experience in requirements-based testing, verification, and validation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in:
    • Automotive Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Electronics & Communication Engineering
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Mechatronics Engineering
    • Computer Science Engineering
    • Related Engineering Discipline

Experience

  • 4 to 10 years of experience in Automotive Testing and Validation.
  • Proven experience in seating systems, vehicle feature validation, or automotive attribute testing.
  • Experience working with Automotive OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on experience in test planning, execution, diagnostics, and issue resolution.
  • Exposure to vehicle integration, system validation, and feature sign-off activities.
