Solution Engineer

What we’re looking for:

The Solution Engineer will be responsible for solution architecture, demonstration, and Pre-sales activity for the strategic customers. You will work closely with the Territory Sales Director and the Territory Sales Engineering Team to deliver the region sales targets.

What you’ll do:

The Solution Engineer is responsible for:

  • Understanding the customer’s challenges and business requirements
  • Defining appropriate technical solutions
  • Leading demonstrations of solutions, including:
    • Product presentations and solution presentations
    • Utilising available Allot and partner technologies

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering Customer Workshops for Allot Solutions and Products
  • Supporting Tender and RFx responses with the sales team
  • Leading Proof of Concepts, trials, and demos at partner or Allot sites—including all relevant documentation (e.g., Technical Proposal, Test Proposal)
  • Taking ownership of technical relationships within customers and partners
  • Collaborating with Product Management to drive customer’s feature requests / customizations

Requirements

Mandatory Experience:

  • Telco operator experience
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Sales Engineer/Solution Consultant
  • Cyber Security solutions experience in:
    • Endpoint security
    • Network-based security
    • Firewall technologies

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Cloud and cloud technologies

Core Qualifications:

  • Proven direct customer-facing skills and experience
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication in English
  • Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision while contributing to distributed teams
  • Self-motivated with the ability to technically lead projects end-to-end
  • Capacity to liaise with senior stakeholders, including customers and partners, to:
    • Provide tailored solutions
    • Explain complex technologies clearly

Technical Skills Required:

  • Preferred certifications: CCNP/CCSP or equivalent
  • Strong grasp of:
    • Networking protocols
    • Public cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, VMware)
    • Security and DDoS product standards
  • An advantage: Technical or customer training experience
