Second Line Analyst – Application Packaging

At Computacenter, you’ll be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking Application Packaging team that supports some of our most high-profile and secure customers. Based from one of our Nottingham office, you’ll work alongside experienced professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality solutions in a dynamic, agile environment.

We foster innovation, professional development, and a shared commitment to excellence in everything we do. The role will be tasked with importing the applications and carrying out a test deployment. Troubleshoot to a 3rd line level including debugging installations via log files and IT skills are a part of this role.

What you’ll do

  • Responsible for communication and interaction with identified business users.
  • Update of all assigned records in the workflow tool
  • Import of packaged application into SCCM
  • Creation of AD groups ready for deployment
  • Test deployment from SCCM (OAT)
  • Escalation of issues to the team lead/local management
  • Investigation of possible application dependencies and escalation to technical authority
  • Troubleshooting of application error messages during installation

What you’ll need

  • Must be able to undertake SC clearance
  • Customer facing experience
  • Office365 experience
  • Basic knowledge of the Application Logistics Lifecycle
  • General Windows support and configuration experience
  • Good Communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of MSI and/or App-V technologies
  • Basic knowledge of VBScript
  • Knowledge of SCCM – importing applications, collections and advertisements
  • Group Policy and local permission setting knowledge
  • Ability to troubleshoot application error messages and diagnose the fault
  • Ability to undertake complex multi-layered application dependency investigation
