2nd Line Support Engineer

Bromsgrove (Hybrid)
Up to £40,000

Our client is looking for an experienced 2nd Line Support Engineer to join their dynamic team and provide technical support to their global client base. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer with a strong foundation in traditional Microsoft technologies, to develop their skills. You will be working in a fast-paced MSP environment, supporting a diverse range of customers. You will have the opportunity of flexible hybrid working.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding support for clients, working with Intune, AD, Windows Server, Group Policy, Exchange Online, Entra DS and Remote Desktop Services/Azure Virtual Desktop
  • Investigate and resolve security alerts
  • Improve customer environments by reviewing, installing, testing security and application updates
  • Maintaining regular communication with clients via email, teams meetings and service desk tools
  • Responding to monitoring alerts for network connectivity, Microsoft Azure IaaS/PaaS/SaaS services and Microsoft 365 services
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to implement migrations and deliver solutions which are tailored to client requirements

Skills:

  • Proven experience within a 2nd Line Support Engineer role
  • Strong experience in Microsoft windows server solutions, including remote desktop services, AD, Group policy, Powershell scripting (such as Bash, Python etc)
  • Understanding of IT security practices and tools
  • Active Microsoft Azure and 365 certification are desirable
  • Previous experience working for an MSP would be ideal
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills with clients and ability to collaborate with team members
  • Passionate about learning new skills in cloud computing, Microsoft solutions, IT security
