Role Details
Location: 30 Crewe Road, Sandbach, Cheshire, CW11 4NE
Contract: Fixed term Contract
Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday on a varied shift pattern between the hours of 08.00 – 19.00 and Saturdays 08.30 - 14.00 on a rota basis

About The Role
As a Student Veterinary Nurse (SVN), you will play a critical role in our outstanding veterinary practice. You'll support our team of qualified RVNs and Vets in delivering exceptional care to our patients, all while working alongside a fantastic team.
Here's What You Will Be Doing
- Provide nursing care to patients
- Assist Vets and Nurses in animal restraint during treatments
- Clean, walk, and feed patients
- Prepare emergency and operating facilities
- Perform general cleaning and maintenance duties
- Run internal lab samples
- Answer emergency calls
- Cover the receptionist desk, including handling queries, booking appointments, and processing payments
Who We're Looking For
- Excellent communication skills with strong empathy
- Superior customer service abilities with experience in public interactions
- Background in animal welfare, including feeding, cleaning, medicating, and handling, with a deep understanding of animal welfare needs
- Resilience and the capacity to handle distressing and emotional situations
- Positive attitude and stellar teamwork skills
- Experience in a veterinary environment is essential, as is enrolment onto a nursing programme
