Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced teacher in the life sciences to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality online lessons, engaging students in interactive learning, and ensuring academic excellence.

The Secondary Sciences Teacher in Biology will be responsible for teaching KS4-5 students in Biology for Years 10-13. Teaching duties will also extend to STEM based Olympiad preparation for Life Science based academic competitions, UCAT entrance prep classes, developing and leading unique extracurriculars, and additional 1:1/tutoring sessions in Biology where necessary.
The timetable for this role is set. The ideal candidate will be able to take the existing timetable as-is, or with minimal adjustment. The working days are Monday-Friday. Lesson lengths are 50 minute blocks per lesson.

Person Specification
Essential
- A relevant degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Enhanced DBS.
- Familiarity with British curriculum standards and assessment methods.
- Proven experience teaching in an online or classroom setting.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

Desired
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- Further degree in related Life Sciences subject.
- Experience in teaching online for upper secondary classes.
- Experience teaching students with diverse learning needs.
- Experience teaching international students.
