Secondary Design & Technology Teacher - Chester - September Start

Role Overview
- Deliver & Engage: Plan and deliver practical and theoretical D&T lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (covering specialist disciplines such as Resistant Materials, Product Design, Graphics, Engineering, or Food Technology depending on your background).
- Flexibility: Step into diverse Design & Technology departments across Chester for flexible daily cover, short-term absences, or planned long-term block placements.
- Workshop Safety & Innovation: Foster a safe, structured learning environment where students can confidently work with tools, machinery, materials, and CAD/CAM software.
- Classroom & Practical Management: Maintain high standards of health and safety, enforcing workshop protocols while guiding students through coursework and practical projects.

Requirements
- Qualifications: UK Qualified Teacher Status and a relevant degree.
- Subject Knowledge: Thorough understanding of the UK National Curriculum for D&T across KS3 and KS4, including strong awareness of health and safety guidelines.
- Practical Skills: Confidence in managing practical workshop environments, machinery, and guiding design-and-make activities safely.
- Compliance: An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).
- Location: Based in or easily able to commute to secondary schools throughout Chester and surrounding Cheshire West areas.
