Are you a qualified Secondary Maths Teacher looking for a new opportunity in Chiswick? A specialist SEN school based in Chiswick, West London is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and adaptable Secondary Maths Teacher to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Secondary Maths Teacher to work within a specialist setting, delivering engaging Maths lessons to pupils with a range of additional needs.
Secondary Maths Teacher: Chiswick
As a Secondary Maths Teacher in this Chiswick school, you will be responsible for planning and delivering accessible Maths lessons across the secondary age range. You will adapt teaching to meet the needs of pupils and help them develop their mathematical knowledge, confidence, and functional skills.
The school is also looking for a Secondary Maths Teacher who has some experience with ICT and is comfortable incorporating basic technology into lessons and everyday classroom activities.
The Secondary Maths Teacher Role In Chiswick Includes
- Teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4 within a specialist SEN environment
- Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated Maths lessons
- Adapting the curriculum to meet a range of additional learning needs
- Using practical and creative approaches to make Maths accessible
- Supporting pupils to develop their mathematical and functional skills
- Using ICT and basic technology within lessons where appropriate
- Working alongside teaching assistants and specialist staff
- Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to individual learning plans
- Creating a structured and engaging classroom environment
- Building positive relationships with pupils and colleagues

About The Secondary Maths Teacher
The school is looking for a Secondary Maths Teacher who has:
- QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Maths at secondary level
- Experience working within an SEN or specialist setting is desirable
- A good understanding of adapting lessons for pupils with additional needs
- Some experience and confidence using ICT within the classroom
- Strong classroom management skills
- A flexible and creative approach to teaching
- A genuine interest in working within specialist education
