A welcoming SEN school in Chiswick is seeking a dedicated Secondary Sensory Teacher to join their team from September. This full-time Secondary Sensory Teacher role in Chiswick is focused on working with secondary-aged pupils with high needs, PMLD, and complex learning needs.

  • Support pupils to develop communication, interaction, and life skills.
  • Monitor pupil progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Work alongside teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals.
  • Create a calm, structured, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Follow pupil care, safeguarding, and health and safety procedures.

Requirements: Secondary Sensory Teacher: Chiswick

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching secondary-aged pupils.
  • Experience working with pupils with PMLD, high needs, or complex learning needs is desirable.
  • Knowledge of sensory-based learning and communication strategies.
  • A patient and adaptable approach to teaching.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Previous SEN teaching experience is required.
