Job Description
Are you a qualified and passionate Tutor looking for a rewarding, flexible role where you can make a real difference?
We are looking for an experienced SEND Tutor to support a learner on a 1:1 basis teaching Maths and English curriculum. This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver personalised, meaningful learning that helps a young person develop the skills and confidence to achieve recognised accreditation.
The successful tutor must have QTS and PGCE
The Role
- Deliver 9 hours of face-to-face tuition per week.
- Receive an additional 1 hour of paid planning and administration time each week.
- Plan engaging, learner-centred sessions tailored to the learner’s individual needs and learning style.
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate records.
- Work collaboratively with the wider professional team and family where appropriate.
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet the learner’s SEND needs while promoting confidence, independence and engagement.

About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- An experienced SEND/SEMH Tutor or Qualified Teacher.
- Passionate about supporting learners with additional needs.
- Patient, creative and flexible in their approach.
- Confident planning personalised learning programmes.
- Committed to helping learners achieve positive outcomes.
Essential Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Right to work in the UK.
