SecOps Engineer
A global organisation are seeking an experienced SecOps Engineer to join their security operations team and support the protection of the bank’s global technology environment.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for security monitoring, incident response, security tooling, vulnerability management, threat detection, and ongoing improvements to security controls and operational capabilities.
This will be an initial 6 months+ contract with further extensions available.
This position will be worked on a hybrid basis with 2 days on-site per week required in London.

- Monitor and investigate security alerts, supporting the triage, containment, investigation, and resolution of security incidents.
- Configure, maintain, optimise, and troubleshoot security tooling, including SIEM, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and related security platforms.
- Develop, tune, and maintain detection rules, alerting mechanisms, use cases, and response playbooks to improve threat detection and reduce false positives.
- Support incident response activities, including investigation, containment, remediation, and post-incident analysis.
- Support vulnerability management activities, working closely with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to identify, prioritise, track, and remediate vulnerabilities.
- Analyse security events and indicators to identify potential threats, suspicious activity, and security weaknesses across the technology environment.
- Contribute to security automation initiatives, including the development and improvement of scripts, workflows, and operational processes.
- Support the continuous improvement of security monitoring, detection, response, and operational processes.
