Our client is a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice based in Cheltenham.
They are seeking a professional, organised, and proactive Secretary to provide essential administrative support to the wider team. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the office while delivering a first-class experience for clients and colleagues alike.
Duties:
- Audio typing and preparation of correspondence, reports, and client documentation.
- Acting as a first point of contact for clients, handling telephone and email enquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Managing diaries, appointments, and meeting schedules for partners and staff.
- Maintaining accurate filing systems, client records, and document management processes.
- Assisting with general administrative duties, including data entry and document preparation.
- Welcoming clients and visitors, ensuring a professional and positive office experience.
- Managing incoming and outgoing post, emails, and general correspondence.
- Providing administrative support to accountants and senior team members across the practice.
- Ensuring all client information is handled confidentially and in accordance with firm procedures.
- Supporting the efficient operation of the office through effective organisation and prioritisation of tasks.

Skills:
- Previous experience in a Secretary, Administrative Assistant, Practice Administrator, or similar office support role.
- Strong audio typing skills with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Professional, personable, and client-focused approach.
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Experience gained within an accountancy practice, professional services, legal, or financial services environment would be advantageous.
