Team Secretary

£30,000 + bonus

A varied, hands-on role right at the heart of a membership organisation.

About the organisation

What you'll actually be doing

  • First point of contact for members, visitors and general enquiries, so you'll set the tone
  • Full secretarial duties
  • Coordinating meetings, events, travel and accommodation start to finish
  • Prepping agendas, taking clear minutes and chasing up actions afterwards
  • Keeping the CRM and membership database accurate and current
  • Helping put together member comms, newsletters and mailings
  • Updating the website and sorting user access requests
  • Bits of light systems admin and everyday IT queries
  • Helping coordinate projects and improve how things run day to day
  • Building real, lasting relationships with members and stakeholders
  • General admin support wherever it's needed

What we're looking for

  • Some background in admin secretarial, team support or coordination
  • Genuinely organised, with a sharp eye for detail
  • A confident, warm communicator, both written and spoken
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook and Teams
  • Calm under pressure, good at juggling a few things at once
  • Curious about new systems and quick to pick things up
  • Proactive and happy to take initiative without being asked
  • Someone who actually wants to learn, grow and own things
  • Experience with a CRM, CMS or membership database
  • Minute-taking experience
