Regulatory Risk and Resolution Team
We have a top-ranked Regulatory Risk and Resolution team at VWV helping commercial clients (rather than individuals) for the most part, some of which are household names, to ensure they have the right structure, policies and procedures in place to satisfy their regulators and run effectively.
This team also helps them when things go wrong - this may be after a critical incident (such as a health and safety issue) or an allegation of mismanagement (perhaps following a complaints process). This can be urgent, confidential and highly sensitive, such as when dealing with allegations of abuse. Much of the work involves schools.
Role Description
We are excited to be recruiting for a full-time Secretary/PA based in Bristol. The team is split across Bristol and London and the successful candidate will primarily be working with Bristol lawyers, sharing the team's workload with another part-time secretary.
Is This Your Next Career Move?
This is a team and a role offering plenty of opportunity to gain both internal and client-facing experience, to support a large and thriving team, to help with business development and to help us drive efficiency.
You'll support a team of lawyers, building strong relationships with both the Regulatory Compliance. You'll manage diaries, book meetings and travel, help with accounting and billing, produce timely and accurate documents and much more.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
