Exciting Opportunity for a Secretary/Administration Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity for a Secretary/Administration Assistant to join our friendly Great Yarmouth office. This varied role covers general administration, reception duties, and secretarial support, working at the heart of the business to help keep the office running smoothly.

Our Admin and Secretarial team provide high-quality, professional support across a wide range of organizational and client-facing activities, ensuring deadlines are met and day-to-day operations are handled with care and attention to detail. It’s a collaborative, supportive environment where flexibility, teamwork, and strong communication skills are highly valued.

Key Requirements

  • Excellent secretarial/admin skills including presentation and accuracy of work and keyboard skills, including knowledge of various software packages including Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
  • An excellent telephone manner and proven experience in a similar role is essential.
  • Actively promote the firm and its services wherever possible.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet competing deadlines.
  • Manage information with the utmost discretion.
  • Demonstrate a “can do” approach to problem solving.
  • Demonstrate the ability to deal with tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Enthusiastic and flexible approach.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and meet competing deadlines.

Key Duties

  • Providing full secretarial and administrative services to partners and associated groups, including diary coordination, meeting administration, and business travel planning.
  • General typing & administration duties to the office staff as required.
  • Audio and copy typing all correspondence, reports, minutes, and accounts.
  • Dealing efficiently & effectively with incoming calls.
  • Arranging internal & external meetings including refreshments & meals as required.
  • Dealing with client enquiries while fostering client relationships.
  • Reception duties as required.
  • Cover overflow phone calls as required.
  • Collecting, sorting, and distributing mail on a daily basis.
  • Assist with data entry, filing, and maintaining office records.
  • Manage and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Maintain office supplies, kitchens, and meeting room refreshments as needed.
  • Support other departments with various administrative tasks as required.
