Job Opportunity at Dorset HealthCare
An exciting opportunity has become available within Dorset HealthCare. We are looking for someone with excellent computer and communication skills to work within the Dorset Bladder and Bowel Continence Service as a Secretary. Supervised by the Team Lead.
Job Details
- Hours: Part-time (18 hours per week)
- Location: Either Boscombe or Dorchester office
- Flexibility: Required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service
Requirements
- Employment in this post requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
- Visa sponsorship for this role is unfortunately not available. Ensure you hold valid right to work in the UK and will not require sponsorship if successful.
Key Responsibilities
- Answering the telephone and dealing with patient queries
- Passing messages onto clinicians
- Taking referrals over the phone
- Booking appointments
- Sending appointment letters
- Scanning documents
- Checking emails and signposting accordingly
Using Clinical Computer Systems
- Mainly: SystmOne and Essity Delivery Service (our pad provision service)
- Responsibilities:
- Registering patients to the service
- Handling appointments, clinic letters, and discharges
- Responding to documentation requests
- Booking rooms
- Ordering stock
- Carrying out audits
