We are Hiring: Secretary

We currently have a vacancy open for a Secretary who is looking to develop their career, supporting the building surveying team within the organisation. This role will be office-based at our Birmingham office, where you will interact with multi-disciplinary teams across the business, and ensure compliance within all relevant discipline standards and regulations.

Key Areas of Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Support the smooth day-to-day running of the office, providing administrative support across multiple teams.
  • Act as a professional first point of contact for visitors, clients and external enquiries, managing calls, emails and correspondence.
  • Coordinate diaries, meetings, travel arrangements and internal events, ensuring activities are organised effectively.
  • Process invoices, reports and business documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Manage office supplies, post, filing systems and business records to maintain an efficient working environment.
  • Maintain accurate information across company systems and support colleagues with a range of administrative and operational requirements.
  • Take an active role in coordinating activities across the team, helping employees stay organised, informed and on track.
  • Develop an understanding of business operations and support the planning, tracking and coordination of key activities and projects as responsibilities grow.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an administrative, office support, secretarial, or coordination role.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with invoicing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive and professional approach, with strong customer service skills.
  • Confidence working with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to take on a broad range of responsibilities.
  • A positive, solutions-focused attitude and a desire to learn and develop.

Benefits:

  • Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
  • Holiday: 25 days (pro-rata’d) plus bank holidays.
