Contract Type: Permanent / 37.5 Hours Per Week
Location: Cambridge area
Days of Work: Monday - Friday
Times of Work: 09:00 - 17:00

Job Description

Our National Sales Manager - South is looking for a top-class Secretary to join him here at the Nation’s favourite parcel delivery company. We are looking for an excellent performer who has a creative flair and the ability to produce great Presentations.

We’ll also expect you to display all the qualities required to provide a wide-ranging and confidential senior-level support service, including:

  • Provide high-level secretarial and executive administrative assistance to the National Sales Manager - South
  • Create high-level reporting & executive summaries from various internal and external systems, Excel, Google (Docs)
  • Act as the first point of contact for general enquiries, escalations from departmental senior management and DPD board (SMT)
  • Regularly prepare presentations and reports to a high standard, predominantly Keynote
  • Organise all venues and catering requirements for Sales Team meetings and other business events as and when required
  • Produce memos, minutes, letters, recruitment documents, liaising with the HR Department as required
  • Record and Monitor company holiday entitlement, absence/sickness & manage the Sales Team Annual Leave Calendar via DPD’s internal portal
  • Maintain a level of confidentiality and written communication regarding sensitive business information
  • Any other tasks as designated by the National Sales Manager - South

Key Measures of Performance

  • Prepare written correspondence and presentation material to a high standard
  • Ability to respond to general enquiries in a timely and professional manner, meeting deadlines within timelines.
  • Maintain and keep all relevant Sales documentation up to date
  • Be able to prioritise and have excellent organisation and planning skills
  • The ability to pay attention to detail and produce concise Sales information at request
  • Be confident operating at a senior level

Qualifications

To be considered for this role you must have previous secretarial experience, ideally gained within a dynamic fast-paced organisation whilst operating with absolute integrity, confidentiality, and discretion.

Working in an environment where working efficiently under pressure and at pace will be key to your success. Outstanding organisational and planning skills are essential in this role. In addition, we’ll also expect you to have:

  • A high level of PC/IT expertise, particularly in respect of Keynote application and the production of professional graphic presentations
  • First-rate communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise your workload
  • Working in a timely and professional manner
