North East Lincolnshire Council have a vacancy for a Section 38/278 Engineer based in North East Lincolnshire.
As an Engineer, you’ll take a leading role in planning, designing, coordinating and delivering engineering schemes and programmes.
You’ll use your professional judgement to assess risks, interpret standards, develop solutions and make sure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with statutory requirements and best practice.
Within the HDC Team there will be a strong focus on health and safety ensuring all colleagues and contractors on site are adhering to key safety principles and regulations at all times. This means there may be instances of having to challenge.
Your day could involve developing designs, reviewing technical information, managing contractors, overseeing site activity, monitoring project performance or preparing reports and recommendations. You’ll also provide professional advice to colleagues, stakeholders, elected Members and the public, helping resolve issues and support good decision-making.
This is a role where you’ll be trusted to lead defined projects through the full lifecycle, balancing safety, quality, cost, risk and delivery.
