Section Engineer (x2)

Location: Heathrow Area, London (Fully On-Site)
Contract: 12 Months (initially)
IR35: Inside of IR35

About the Role

Our client is delivering a major infrastructure and asset renewal programme within a highly regulated operational environment. As a Section Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of complex civil, structural, and infrastructure works, ensuring activities are completed safely, on programme, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the safe and compliant delivery of allocated work packages.
  • Lead and support engineering teams, supervisors, and delivery partners.
  • Plan and coordinate short-term programmes and sequencing of works.
  • Manage day and night shift activities to maintain programme milestones.
  • Monitor budgets, identify risks and opportunities, and work closely with commercial and planning teams.
  • Ensure permits, RAMS, and quality assurance documentation are in place and maintained.
  • Drive continuous improvement in quality, productivity, and delivery performance.
  • Champion health, safety, sustainability, and environmental standards at all times.
  • Build strong relationships with project stakeholders and promote a collaborative "one team" approach.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience delivering civil engineering groundworks and structural steel projects.
  • Broad understanding of architectural fit-out, M&E, and systems installation activities.
  • Experience managing work packages, including programming, budget monitoring, and reporting.
  • Working knowledge of NEC contracts.
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and develop engineers and supervisors.
  • Strong focus on continuous improvement, quality, and productivity.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.

Desirable

  • Experience working within live operational or highly regulated environments.
  • Previous airport infrastructure project experience.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD 3D, Civil 3D, BIM360, Bentley MicroStation, or Point Cloud modelling software.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree, HNC, or HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent relevant experience).
  • SMSTS.
  • CSCS Card.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
