A leading Tier 1 contractor is seeking an experienced Section Engineer to support the delivery of a major water infrastructure project in the East Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile scheme involving significant civil engineering works, large diameter pipe installation and complex reinforced concrete structures.

Working closely with the Site Agent and Project Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of works while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Managing engineering activities across allocated sections of the project
  • Supporting delivery of large diameter pipeline installations
  • Overseeing reinforced concrete structures and associated works
  • Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with design specifications
  • Producing and reviewing method statements, risk assessments and inspection test plans
  • Managing subcontractors and coordinating site activities
  • Maintaining accurate site records and as-built information
  • Supporting quality assurance and quality control processes
  • Working collaboratively with project teams to achieve programme milestones

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Section Engineer or Senior Engineer on major infrastructure projects
  • Strong background in water, utilities, heavy civil engineering or related sectors
  • Experience with large diameter pipework installation
  • Experience delivering reinforced concrete structures
  • Proficient with setting out equipment and engineering software
  • Good understanding of quality, health, safety and environmental requirements
  • CSCS Card
