Project / Section Engineer – HS2

We're recruiting a Project / Section Engineer to join the UK's largest earthworks contractor on HS2, one of the country's most significant infrastructure projects. This is an opportunity to work on a major earthworks package, taking ownership of key engineering activities while developing your career within a business that has a strong pipeline of nationally significant projects.
The Role
As a Project / Section Engineer, you'll play an important role in the successful delivery of the works, supporting the site team to ensure quality, safety and programme objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out GNSS surveys and setting out for earthworks activities.
- Review and validate 3D machine control models.
- Interpret drawings, specifications and works information to support construction activities.
- Produce and maintain engineering documentation including RAMS, ITPs and inspection records.
- Ensure quality assurance processes are followed before works commence.
- Carry out soil quality checks, including moisture content and plasticity testing.
- Support short-term planning and coordinate engineering activities with site teams.
- Identify and communicate contractual or technical issues to the relevant teams.
- Maintain accurate site records and technical documentation.
