Section Engineer - Sizewell C Project

Location: Sizewell C Project, Suffolk

Hours: Typically 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

Key Information:

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

About the Role

As a Section Engineer, you will plan, provide engineering control, and supervise site operations for a defined section of works within a highly regulated nuclear infrastructure environment. You'll act as the technical lead on site, supporting the Sub-Agent to ensure works are executed correctly, efficiently, and safely. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a major infrastructure project whilst making a real impact.

Responsibilities

As a Section Engineer, you will:

  • Interpret and implement drawings, specifications, and design requirements on site,
  • Supervise site operations and coordinate engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently, while maintaining strong working relationships,
  • Assist with short-term planning, programme updates, and progress tracking to keep the project on schedule,
  • Produce and review risk assessments and method statements, and deliver safety briefings to promote a strong safety culture,
  • Maintain as-built records and quality documentation to meet stringent quality standards.

Requirements

This role is ideal for you if:

  • You hold a Degree, HNC, or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline,
  • You have relevant experience in civil engineering, including site engineering and setting out in infrastructure, highways, heavy civils, or structures,
  • You possess strong knowledge of construction methods, temporary works, and quality systems,
  • You have strong IT skills with confidence using MS Office and AutoCAD,
  • You are working towards professional membership such as ICE or CIOB, and hold a CSCS card.
