Job Description

About the Role

Renishaw is looking for a Production Supervisor to join our Manufacturing Services Division. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop a team within a precision engineering environment, producing high-quality electro-mechanical products.

Working within a high-mix, high-complexity assembly operation, you will play a key role in ensuring customer demand is met while driving improvements in quality, delivery, safety and productivity. You will collaborate closely with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain and customer-facing teams to create a positive and high-performing production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Leading, coaching, and developing a team of operators and technicians.
  • Creating a safe, engaged, and high-performing working environment.
  • Coordinating activities to resolve production, process, and quality issues.
  • Managing production schedules to meet customer requirements.
  • Supporting inventory planning and material availability.
  • Analyzing performance data and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency.
  • Working closely with engineering, supply chain, and product teams to support business objectives.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, engage, and develop people.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing, production, or engineering environment.
  • Confidence analyzing data and using performance metrics to drive improvements.
  • Good planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A practical, problem-solving approach and a focus on delivering results.

It would be great if you also have

  • Experience supervising a production or assembly team.
  • Knowledge of materials planning, inventory control, or production scheduling.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
  • An HNC (or equivalent) in an engineering or technical discipline.
