Job Title: Securities Operations Technology Analyst

Location: London (2/3 days per week in the office)
Contract Length: 7 months initially
Working Pattern: Via Umbrella company

Our client, a prominent player in the financial services sector, is seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Securities Operations Technology Analyst. Key Responsibilities:

As a Securities Operations Technology Analyst, your expertise will shine through in the following areas:

Securities Operations Analysis:

  • Analyse operational workflows across Settlements, Asset Servicing, Corporate Actions, and Cash Management functions.
  • Support the investigation and automation of settlement exceptions and operational issues.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of market practices and settlement lifecycles.

SSI, PSET & Market Infrastructure Management:

  • Facilitate automation for the management of Settlement Instructions across business teams.
  • Conduct assessments of PSET requirements and settlement routing.
  • Review and enhance the quality of settlement instructions for standardisation.

Vendor & Platform Analysis:

  • Collaborate with vendors to explore functionality enhancements and AI capabilities.
  • Document business requirements and perform gap analysis between current and target-state operating models.

Requirements & Testing:

  • Gather and document business and operational requirements.
  • Create process maps and support testing activities, ensuring operational readiness.

Risk & Control Management:

  • Conduct operational risk assessments and identify process vulnerabilities.
  • Ensure all solutions align with internal governance requirements.

Core Deliverables:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Creating current and future-state process maps.
  • Conducting settlement exception analysis and root cause investigations.
  • Implementing automated Settlement Instruction processing.
  • Reporting on operational performance metrics and risk management.

Knowledge & Experience:

Essential:

  • Financial Services background is a must.
  • Comprehensive experience in securities operations covering post-trade processing.
  • Strong understanding of settlement lifecycles and operational controls.
  • Expertise in PSET and SSI governance processes.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with AI, automation technologies, and platforms such as Microsoft Copilot or Power Platform.
  • Experience in data analysis and operational reporting.
