Securitisation & Structured Finance Lawyer
A leading investment bank is looking to appoint a Securitisation & Structured Finance Lawyer to join its highly regarded global legal team. The role will involve advising on a broad range of complex and high-value structured finance transactions, working closely with the business from initial structuring through to execution and across the wider transaction lifecycle.
The breadth of the role is a particular feature of the opportunity. Rather than operating within a highly siloed product structure, you will have exposure across a diverse range of structured finance and securitisation products, including mortgages, CMBS, receivables financing, repackaging, asset-backed securities, and CLOs. This offers the opportunity to work on varied and sophisticated transactions across multiple asset classes, while developing a broad understanding of the business.

You will work closely with structuring and the wider deal team from the outset, providing legal advice on transaction structures, documentation, regulatory considerations, and execution. The role is highly business-facing, with the legal team regarded as a key part of the transaction process. You will be expected to engage with complex legal and commercial issues, provide pragmatic solutions, and contribute to the successful execution of transactions.
Requirements
- Between three and eight years' post-qualification experience gained at a leading law firm or financial institution.
- Strong structured finance and/or securitisation experience.
- Experience across a number of asset classes would be particularly relevant.
- A good understanding of UK and EU securitisation regulation.
- Strong technical legal skills combined with the ability to communicate complex issues clearly and provide commercially focused advice.
- Proactive, collaborative, and comfortable working with senior stakeholders across trading, structuring, investment banking, and legal teams in a fast-paced international environment.
