As a Security Administrator, you’ll help manage the systems that keep our sites and assets secure. You’ll manage the administration of Northern Gas Networks' electronic security and e-locking systems. You'll be responsible for maintaining accurate records, managing access permissions, supporting audits, and making sure processes run smoothly for effective control of security databases and processes.
You’ll work closely with colleagues across Security, HR and Operational teams, making sure our assets remain secure through robust administration, reporting and compliance activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and analytical individual who enjoys working with systems, data and stakeholders to deliver accurate, high-quality results. Your work will directly support the security of our operational network and help maintain the integrity of our access control processes.
In this role you will
- Manage and maintain the e-locking key management system and associated databases.
- Process key allocations, access requests and system authorisation changes.
- Maintain accurate records of lock populations, users and access permissions.
- Carry out system and process audits, producing management information and reports.
- Work with HR to manage leaver processes and access rights changes.
- Support integration activities with wider security systems and technologies.
- Manage security records and audit logs in line with operational requirements.
- Support the continuous operation and reliability of security systems and processes
- Provide admin support activities across the wider Supply Strategy team as required.

We are looking for
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Previous administrative experience in a busy environment.
- Ability to collate, analyse and validate data accurately.
- Excellent written, verbal and numerical communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook.
