Station Agent

Permanent

Location: Belfast International Airport

Hours: Part time - 04:00 - 08:00 Monday and Tuesday, 16:00 - 20:00 Thursday and Friday, 4 hours a day

Pay: Earn £13.24 per hour

If you're a vigilant, customer-focused individual looking for a rewarding career, this is your opportunity to join our dedicated security team at Belfast International Airport as an Airport Security Officer.

About The Role

As Station Agent, you will be at the heart of our airport operations, ensuring the safety and security of all passengers, staff, and visitors. Your duties will include:

  • People and Bag Search: Use advanced equipment and manual search techniques to ensure no prohibited items are brought into the airport.
  • X-ray Screening: Operate X-ray machines to screen bags and personal items, ensuring compliance with airport security standards.
  • Access Control: Manage access to the airport by verifying identification and travel documents for passengers, staff, and airport users.
  • Customer Support: Provide assistance and high levels of customer service, resolving queries, and guiding passengers through their airport journey.
  • Emergency Response: Be a first responder to incidents, including aircraft emergencies, providing crucial support and ensuring safety.
  • Patrolling and Incident Response: Conduct regular patrols of airside and landside areas, attend to security reports, and carry out aircraft guarding and escort duties.
  • Security Compliance: Adhere to all security notices, and maintain clear and concise documentation of any incidents.

Getting here by Bus

Translink bus times - the first bus is at 01:00 then every hour until 0600, 06:15 and 06:30 then every 12 minutes after this. At weekends it's every 20 minutes.

Staff who receive a full airside pass can collect a smart card from the kiosk in the airport arrivals hall. This card provides discounted travel at £5.40 return (£2.60 each way). If a ticket is purchased at Grand Central or directly on the bus using an airside pass, the discounted fare is £6.50 return.

  • Due to CAA requirements, must have been living in Northern Ireland/UK for the last 3 years continuously
  • A passion for providing excellent customer service
  • To be able to get to the airport at all times of the day, from as early as 02:45am.
  • To be able to work flexible shifts
  • Due to legal reasons, must be over the age of 18 years old.
