Security Architect, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure – London, UK
London based role, 4-5 days per week onsite
12-month contract engagement
Day rate up to £1,000 DoE
Active eDV clearance required
ABOUT THE CLIENT
Our client is delivering a complex, security-sensitive cloud programme within a highly regulated environment. This is an opportunity to shape and assure critical security architecture while working alongside experienced engineering, architecture and testing teams.
THE SECURITY ARCHITECT ROLE
You will develop and assure security architecture for solutions hosted on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. You will translate security requirements into practical designs, controls and implementation guidance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assessing cloud and network designs
- Identifying security risks and control gaps
- Defining identity and access management approaches
- Embedding security throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Leading or assuring security testing
- Reviewing findings
- Advising on remediation and risk treatment

SECURITY ARCHITECT ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Senior-level cloud security architecture experience, aligned with SFIA Level 5 or 6, or equivalent
- Strong network security architecture knowledge
- Identity and access management expertise, including RBAC and privileged access
- Experience designing and assuring security controls in complex, security-sensitive environments
- Ability to define, lead or assure security testing activities
- Strong documentation, communication and stakeholder management skills
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure security or architecture experience
- Knowledge of UK government Secure by Design principles and processes
- Experience within government, defence, national security or similarly regulated environments
- Relevant cloud or cyber security architecture certifications
