Experienced Security Architect
We need an experienced Security Architect to join a growing cyber security practice delivering secure digital transformation across Government, Defence and regulated industries.
This is an opportunity to work on large-scale cloud and digital programmes, shaping secure solutions from design through to delivery. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, influence technical direction, and help organisations adopt modern security practices across cloud, applications and platforms.
Alongside technical leadership, you'll mentor colleagues, engage with senior stakeholders and help drive secure delivery across multiple projects.
What You'll Be Doing
- Designing secure cloud architectures and modern security solutions.
- Providing security leadership across complex digital transformation programmes.
- Working closely with architects, engineers and delivery teams to embed security throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Advising clients on security strategy, governance and best practice.
- Identifying security risks and recommending pragmatic solutions.
- Supporting secure DevSecOps and CI/CD practices.
- Coaching and mentoring team members while contributing to capability growth.
- Communicating technical security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What We're Looking For
Experience
We're seeking candidates with experience leading security initiatives within consultancy or client-facing environments. More senior candidates should demonstrate greater ownership, leadership and strategic responsibility across complex programmes.
Essential Skills
You'll ideally bring experience in all of the following:
- Security consultancy
- Active UK Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain it
- Cloud security experience across AWS or Azure (both desirable)
- Relevant cloud certification
- Recognised security certification
- Experience using AI to improve security or engineering practices
Alongside this, you'll have expertise in at least one of:

- Application Security
- Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Detection Engineering
You'll also have experience in one or more of the following:
- Threat Modelling
- Data Security & Information Protection
- Architecture-as-Code (C4)
- DevSecOps / Secure Software Delivery
- Vulnerability Management
- Security Operations (SOC, Detection & Response)
- Security Testing / Penetration Testing
- Zero Trust Architecture
Sector Experience
We're particularly interested in candidates who have delivered security solutions within:
- Defence
- Central Government (HMRC, DEFRA, HM Passport Office and similar organisations)
- Home & Foreign Affairs (Home Office, FCDO, Cabinet Office, National Security)
- Transport
