Security Architect (Digital Heap)

Overview

Our client is running a major digital heap remediation programme covering approximately 700TB of unstructured data. We are looking for a Security Architect with strong Information and Records Management experience to design the approach for identifying, securing, analysing, and ultimately managing this data estate. This role sits at the intersection of security architecture, data governance, and information lifecycle management, and requires someone comfortable operating in a complex, politically sensitive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design the security architecture for identifying and classifying data within a ~700TB digital heap
• Define and design a protected/secure environment for holding and analysing sensitive or unclassified data
• Work closely with information/records management teams on retention, classification, and disposal strategy
• Define controls for data access, handling, and audit throughout the identification-to-management lifecycle
• Support tooling and process design for data discovery, analysis, and remediation at scale
• Produce architecture artefacts covering data security, access control, and environment design
• Engage and manage senior, and at times difficult, stakeholders across the business and technical teams
• Provide assurance that the solution aligns with information governance, security, and compliance requirements
