Security Architect – SC Cleared

6-Month Contract
Location: London
Rate: Up to £550 per day
Contract Type: Inside IR35

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Security Architect to join a major transformation programme within UK Central Government.

Working as part of a wider security team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing security solutions across complex enterprise systems, applications and platforms. The role will have a particular focus on Enterprise Security Architecture, security architecture design and Splunk, ensuring robust security controls are embedded throughout the programme.

You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, working closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to identify security risks, recommend appropriate solutions and ensure systems and services are effectively protected against evolving cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop secure architectures across enterprise systems, applications and platforms.
  • Develop and implement security strategies and controls to protect systems, data, infrastructure and business processes.
  • Apply Enterprise Security Architecture (ESA) principles across the programme.
  • Provide security architecture guidance throughout the design and delivery lifecycle.
  • Work with Splunk as part of the organisation's wider security and monitoring capability.
  • Conduct security assessments to identify vulnerabilities, risks and potential threats.
  • Recommend appropriate security controls and remediation strategies.
  • Collaborate with engineering, architecture, infrastructure and delivery teams to ensure security is embedded throughout solutions.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on security architecture and contribute to technical design discussions.
  • Review existing security measures and identify opportunities to strengthen the organisation's security posture.
  • Ensure security solutions align with relevant enterprise and government security standards.
  • Stay up to date with emerging cyber security threats, technologies and industry best practice.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
